II  The method

Letters that
are numbers

Hebrew has no separate numerals. Every letter is also a number, so every word carries a value whether anyone intends it or not. Gematria is the practice of reading those values.

The series works verse by verse: the Hebrew, the count, and what the count sits beside elsewhere in the text. What a reader makes of the correspondences is left to the reader. The arithmetic is shown rather than asserted.
